The Alien Boy

The Alien Boy has one of the strongest communities in the NFT world right now. People might think that they are just another copy from the BAYC, but what they can’t deny is the unique artworks and amazing things happening around the community.

After the general reveal on June 19th, The Alien Boy has gained traction on OpenSea and became #3 in new project rankings — with a total of 740 ETH volume traded.

Let’s look at what happened.

Pre-Sale

The Pre-sale happened on June 12, with a total of 10,000 aliens and a 0.08 ETH minting price.

The whole collection sold out within 3 days, a week before the actual reveal. After they sold out, the community was formed, people started to change their Twitter/Discord profile picture to the un-reveal alien with a paper bag, and the Discord was very active.

However, the Super Yetis were dropping at the same time and seemed to redirect focus from The Alien Boy due to Super Yeti’s promising utilities.

Floor price

During that time, the floor prices were pretty stable around 0.08 ETH which was the same as the minting price. But the unsuccessful revealing experience from the Super Yeti influenced people’s faith in The Alien Boys, resulting in the floor dropping to 0.06 ETH or even lower.

Revealing the first 500 aliens

1 day before the reveal date, Georgie (the founder) along with the team made a very strategic move. They decided to reveal the first 500 minted aliens.

It is safe to say that people really love the revealed aliens as the floor rocketed from less than 0.06 eth to 0.12 eth in a few hours.

General Reveal until now

The reveal of the alien boys was smooth and perfect.
No bugs, glitches, or any kind of problems.

Floor price

Along with the cryptocurrencies, the floor price for the alien boys had dropped a lot compared to what they were before the reveal. From 0.14 eth back to around 0.07 eth right now.

The Alien Community

Besides the cool alien art and the smooth process of dropping and revealing, the thing that attracts me the most about the alien boys is their community.

The discord is active 24/7, and even crazier on Twitter. A personal anecdote: my Twitter account gained almost 200 followers in 2 days after changing my profile picture to one of my Alien Boys.

There are also many trends/hashtags that the alien community uses when they tweet — #AlienBoySummer being the most popular one.

Similar to the BAYC, alien owners have full right to use their aliens in other arts, pictures, or any other products. We have seen multiple art projects produced using Alien Boys.

Here are some examples:

From a famous artist — Dario De Siena

And there are many more amazing projects being built based on the aliens! It somehow gives me mad BYAC vibes.

Besides the additional art projects that are coming out from the aliens, people in the community are trying to build a lot of different exciting things!

The ABA (Alien Basketball Association)

Since there are aliens that wear basketball jerseys, some members in the community figured it would be a great idea to create a basketball league for them.

There are so many more projects/utilities that the community can make out of aliens.
