Here is yet another generative avatar collectible NFT project, Top Dog Beach Club. With similar projects being released almost daily, it seems like avatar collectibles are nearing market saturation. More projects have flopped than succeeded, so it certainly requires more than a BYAC replica to be able to gain traction in the market.

Maximum Supply Minting Curve
The maximum number each wallet can mint depends on the remaining supply.
- Supply 1 to 6000: Maximum of 10 mints
- Supply 6001 to 8000: Maximum of 5 mints
Full details have yet been finalized, but this helps reduce FOMO gas wars when close to selling out and at the same time create a more diverse community by increasing the number of unique holders.
Doggo Tools and Utility
- High-resolution PSD file: customize your own doggo!
- $BONE Token: used to customize the name and backstory of your dog (which shows on both their website & OpenSea) and link your Twitter account to the avatar.
- 420 $BONE Tokens are gifted to each Dog minted, and 10 $BONE Tokens are rewarded each day for holding the NFT
Pack Mechanic
Each dog is assigned with a combination of traits (eg. Intelligence, Loyalty, Strength) which determine its rarity.
- Dogs are also placed into the different packs, Hot Dogs, Dog Soldiers, Mutley Crew, Tailblazers, based on their characteristics.
- Competitions and games will be held between packs with special rewards.
Beach Club & Roadmap
- With plans to host two real-life beach parties for dog owners in the long run
- 40,000$ USD community fund
- Partnership with Offsetra to rectify environmental damages with minting

What I like about TPBC
- Community Oriented: Decreased supply from 10k to 8k as suggested by the community on discord. They listen and respond well to the community.
- Non Anon-Devs: Less risk of rug pull. Their twitters can be found here & here.
- Customizable Avatars: Offers more flexibility to add future utilities.
- Distinguishable Rarity & Traits: This is one thing successful avatar projects, such as Gutter Cats and Craniums, have in common. TPBC has 150 properties across 11 categories.
- 72h Reveal Time: This can be controversial, but the non-instant reveal can prevent people from using metadata to snipe rare dogs.
- Culture: Communities contribute to NFT project success. A fun, meme culture attracts people to join (eg. AlienBoys).
Overall, the project concept and technology involved seem akin to the prior projects such as Ethlings. However, I feel that the simplicity and composition of each doggo hold much more artistic value than Ethlings to the NFT community. We will see whether Top Dog Beach Club lives up to its name as the Top Dog of the NFT market. The sale starts on Tuesday 6th July, 22:45 UTC.
